Music Lessons
At Newbridge School of Music, we provide both group and one on one lessons for a wide variety of musical instruments. We take on students who want to learn for fun, as well as those who wish to sit an exam. We are the Kildare Exam Centre for a number of bodies.

Piano
During our one to one student focused lessons, we cover all aspects of piano playing and a wide range of styles. The direction of the lessons is a joint decision between teacher and student, depending on the student's personal aim for their lessons. Piano lessons are 30 minutes long, students at more advanced grades may benefit from longer lessons, which we will be happy to arrange.
Preparation for graded music exam (RIAM/LCM) and the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate practical are also on offer.
Violin
One to one student focused lessons, covering all aspects of Violin playing and a wide range of styles. The direction of the lessons is a joint decision between teacher and student, depending on the student's personal aim for their lessons. Violin lessons are 30 minutes long, students at more advanced grades may benefit from longer lessons, which we will be happy to arrange.
Preparation for graded music exam (RIAM) and the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate practical are also available.
Drums
We provide one on one lessons, covering all aspects of drum skills and a wide range of styles. There is an emphasis on developing the student's ear. For students wishing to go the exam route we cover all grades through London College of Music.
Keyboard
Group or Individual
Keyboard lessons covering all aspects of keyboard playing and styles of music keyboard whether just for fun or exam orientated has always been a popular choice at our school. Group classes consist of four students, Preparation for graded music exam (RIAM/LCM)
Voice
One to one student focused lessons, covering all aspects of singing techniques and a wide range of styles. The direction of the lessons is a joint decision between teacher and student, depending on the student's personal aim for their lessons.
Preparation for graded music exam (RIAM/LCM) and the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate practical are also on offer.
Guitar
Acoustic, Electric & Bass
Individual or Group Lessons
Covering all aspects of guitar playing and a wide range of styles. The direction of the lessons is a joint decision between teacher and student, depending on the student's personal aim for their lessons. In order to provide the best personal attention to each student numbers in our group classes are limited. Group lessons are one hour long, group classes (three to six students)
Preparation for graded music exam (RIAM/LCM/RGT) and the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate practical are also on offer.
Woodwind
One to one student focused lessons, covering all aspects of brass / woodwind playing and a wide range of styles. The direction of the lessons is a joint decision between teacher and student, depending on the student's personal aim for their lessons. Lessons are 30 minutes long, students at more advanced grades may benefit from longer lessons, which we will be happy to arrange.
